Sarah Pagano and Molly Seidel Lead Women's Elite Field at NYRR Midnight RunBy Adam Kopet The NYRR Midnight Run is scheduled to go off at midnight on New Year's Eve in Central Park with an elite field leading the way on the four-mile course, according to an NYRR press release. The women's race is highlighted by Sarah Pagano, the two-time defending champion, and new pro Molly Seidel. Pagano had a strong 2017, using her kick to secure high finishes on the domestic circuit. This will be Seidel's third race of her pro career after graduating from Notre Dame. She finished second at the USATF 5K Championships in November. Seidel was also selected to the U.S. Senior women's team to compete in the 6-kilometer race Jan. 13 at the Great Edinburgh XCountry International Challenge in Scotland. The men's race is led by 2015 champion Daniel Winn. He will be challenged, however, by Reid Buchanan. Winn finished as runner-up last year. More news |
